Practical ways to make your business worth more.
Whether you sell in three years or never, the same things make a business more valuable. A buyer pays for your profit, times a multiple, and then marks it down for every job that only you can do. AI can move all three: more of the right customers find you, your team gets hours back, and less of the business lives in your head. Run your own numbers below. Nothing you type leaves this page.
Your numbers, not ours
What would it do to your sale price?
Five numbers you already know, and one to ask your accountant. Start low on the two AI sliders. The honest answer is the one you would repeat to your banker without wincing.
How it is worked out: profit after = revenue × profit share × (1 + growth) + revenue × wages share × time freed. Freed hours are counted once. They either serve the new work or are not re-hired, never both. Value = profit × the multiple you chose. It leaves out the premium a buyer may pay for a business that runs without its owner, so the real effect can be larger. None of it is sent anywhere.
Why we do not promise a percentage"25% more productive plus 25% more revenue" does not make "50% more valuable". Set both sliders to 25% on the default business above and profit more than doubles. On a business where the saved hours never reach profit it makes nothing. Anyone who quotes you a number before seeing yours is guessing.
Three levers
Found. Fast. Followed up.
Each one moves a different part of what a buyer pays for.
Found: more revenue
When customers ask ChatGPT or Google's AI who to call, the business it names gets the job. We measure whether you are named and fix what the AI reads about you.
How we measure itFast: better margin, less owner
The weekly jobs that eat your team's time and only you know how to do: quotes, reports, chasing paperwork. AI drafts, a person approves, and the know-how gets written down instead of living in your head.
Followed up: revenue you already earned
Missed calls, quotes nobody chased, customers who came once. Something answers in a minute and nothing falls through, whether you are in the shop or not.
Proof, measured
Two Alberta businesses, before and after.
NeonSky AI, Camrose
In August, we asked ChatGPT five questions a central Alberta owner would ask about hiring for AI, three times each. It named us 0 times. Seven weeks later, same questions: named on all five, and first every time on three.
Our own scans, Aug 13 and Oct 5, 2026. Full before and afterAn Alberta drone services company we run the website for
Engaged visits arriving from AI assistants went from 0 a month in May to 25 in September. Today ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity name the company in 38 of 45 answers to its buyers' questions.

Two weeks. A written report you keep. A baseline a buyer can trust.
Before anything changes, we measure where your business stands, find what AI can really take off your plate, and write it down. If the honest answer is "buy this off the shelf" or "leave it alone", that is what the report says.
The real process map
How the work actually moves, built from three recent real jobs, not the tidy version. Including every step that only you can do today.
Your opportunity list
Every candidate scored on impact and effort, in the order to do them. Quick wins with clear measures first.
What will and won't work
Which of your systems can connect, what the data allows, what privacy rules apply, and where the answer is "this can't be done the way you hoped".
A value model from your numbers
Hours, volumes and costs you give us, each line with its assumption and a confidence level. Nothing counted twice.
Options, honestly
What to build, what to buy and what to leave alone, with the off-the-shelf tool named where it fits.
The baseline, recorded
Three to five measures taken before anything changes: time per job, volume, error rate, cost per job. This is what turns "it got better" into a number a buyer or valuator will accept.
